Izam from the 90's Visual Kei Band SHAZNA.

Do you know him? He was the most beautiful Visual Kei singer in the lately 90's, pretty as a lovely and beloved young girl. There was many people who thought he was really a girl.

Izam was a big fan of english singer Boy George (who i love too), and his band The Culture Club, since he was about 12. In that moment he took the desition to form a band and wear make up and girly cloths just as Boy George.

In 1993 Izam meets the guitarrist A・O・I, the bassist NIY and the drummer Katsura (who left the band time after and formed part of the Visual Kei band BAISER) and they formed SHAZNA.

In 1996, after a long way, Shazna starts to being popular all over Japan and they made their Major Debut in 1997 with their popular song "Melty Love".

They were really popular since that moment till 2000 year, where they took a break.

They were back to the stages after 6 years, but just for 3 years, till 2009, when they really disbanded.

Well, Shazna is, and still being my favorite band ever and i have to recognize that their music made me be what i am now somehow. I knew the works of Arina Tanemura thanks to SHAZNA, because they sang the intro from "Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne" and thanks to them i got into Visual Kei music and japanese culture.

I Drew Izam because i love him so much and i like the way he used to clothing at the Shazna Years (he used to wear Vivienne Westwood!!!), and even i'm his fan long time ago, i'd never draw him, or i mean, i'd never finished an illust of him.

I started a Visual Kei musicians Bookmarkers Collection months ago, and i will posting them as soon as i finish them.
